As a professional photographer it is sometimes very easy to frustrate your children.  3 mile walks turn into 3 mile photo shoots that just aggravate the child with you.  Back in a time before Coastal Georgia, when we lived in the Shenandoah Valley, VA  Jesse and I used to take this walk a couple of times a week.  He would ride his bike and have so much fun flying down the hills, but as you can see in the images, he just couldn’t manage riding up them.    This walk was in the spring time, just after a VERY hard winter.  The winter consisted of 2-4 feet of snow from Nov-Mar.  It was a WONDERFUL experience and one that I miss sorely.  However, it was also a time of wood chopping and snow shoveling, slick roads and frozen water lines.  Johnny didn’t enjoy it near as much as I did.   But the spring time came.  With it came flowers and walks in the mountains.  This is just one of the many walks we took that year.  Jesse would ride, I would walk and take pictures that captured my eye.
